These preformed units are formed to fit around a stanchion (I beam shown) or a rectangular wind brace post.

 

Detailing around a column on site is time consuming and cubersome. It is better to have a preformed column unit rather than try to cut and lap the column with self adhesive membrane.

 

The time saved coupled with the assured quality seal far outweighs the time it would take an operative to form a seal around the column.
